the harness cost £40 from a landrover dealer, it has 3 wires and is about 2 feet long. Been told it is a common fault with the connection that goes on the fuel pressure regulator

Thanks for that... I know where the plug fits on the pressure sensor but where does the other end fit. Also its location please?
 
Hi Chirky, I know this is an old thread but did you ever get this sorted out because I have the same problem, I was wondering if it was possible that the by wire accelerator unit wasn't talking to the ECU which controls the engine and fuelling, I do remember a story of the new Ford Transit having a similar issue when the diagnostics couldn't find it, took an old fashioned mechanic (not a Technician) to find it what I don't know is if it can be changed without having to have it programed, I have so far changed the Crankcase filter, done a EGR bypass and had a faulty injector changed still does it, like driving a rocking horse at time and very annoying
