    S3 Insurance, what a result ! ! !

Just taken out a policy with Performance Direct, after doing a search on Confused.Com. I'm 43 and the S3 is a 2 1/4 petrol 88", no convictions or claims. Total cost with out legal cover £85:) , well happy with that. Mind you on the Confused site £85 was the cheapest quote, but the quotes went up...

    Buyers Guide/Things to Check 2a/3

Tax exempt is good but don't get too hung up on it. You'll get a later series built after 1972 in better condition for the same money. £200 pounds saved per year won't go very far on a tax exempt money pit ! ! !

    How much paint?

2 litres of each is what I would order, lets face it even if you have 3/4 of a tin of each colour left it will come in for touching up in future. Also the paddocks paint seemed very good when I used it on mine.

    Remoulds for a Series 3

I've never had any problems with remoulds and because they are normally made with a softer compound the grip levels are normally better, but they do wear quicker.
