It was a bosch , how about you ? I doubt its the pump itself and more what vic.middleton said prehaps.

Sweet .. I just wanted to rule out the cam sensor as the car was losing power as well as poor starting.

Just curious would the cam position sensor cause loss of power or does it only affect starting ?

Thanks for the responses lads. Turned out to be the fuel pump according to the breakdown assist guy. Is there one or two fuel pumps in the freelander ? Is there anywhere that sell the pump cheap ? as I imagine they wont be cheap:(

Hi All I have a Freelander at the moment and never need to use the 4WD. I live in the city so it’s of no benefit. I was thinking of converting it to a 2WD if this is possible? If so is it expensive to do? What would be any likely pros or cons. Thanks

I never came across a crankcase breather filter before - what happens if its not changed? Is it a trouble spot in the TD4. They are about £34 on ebay – does this sound about right.

Hi All Just bought a 2003 Freelander with 80k . Engine is a TD4 . Gearbox is automatic. No service books came with the car so unsure what has been done or not. What would ye recommend doing on the next service? Thanks
