Its not there :eek: The pic shows where it should be and where i have seen it on other defenders but in its place is a red relay which is for the headlights but when i remove it all that happens is i end up with no full beam instead and this one i just replaced because it was buzzing :confused...

Hi My dim dip transformer seems to have failed so i need to get to it to replace/un plug it. Has anyone any photos of where it is ? or any suggestions on what i will need to take off to get to it ? :confused: Many thanks

1996 300tdi 90 Ok this seems to be a pretty weird and wonderful fault so please bear with me while i try to explain. I was driving south on friday when the relay (I believe to be for headlight dip/main) behind my right speaker started buzzing, then i Was at Salisbury plain at the weekend...

Mine was always falling out, i dont think there was anything missing just poor design. I drilled a small hole through the metal tab and the rubber trim behind it and another hole just below and used a cable tie to hold it up in place ! Never fallen down again.

when you say swan neck are you referring to the drop arm ? whats the difference in a disco one ? and the track rod ends are fine it just specifically the drop arm ball joint. Thanks everyone, much appreciated.
