Hello, another day and yet another 'quick project' that isn't quick haha!!
I'm trying to install a spare wheel carrier and have to remove two bolts. Seemed simple enough...
I tried every trick in the book (That I know) and failed, then asked the garage who had my Landy in for something else to see if they could do it, and they managed to get one out but have snapped the other.

Can anyone recommend someone that specializes in this? Surrey/Leatherhead/Molesey/Kingston area?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

It is just a plate with 2 studs on it, hammer it through and it will fall out the back. 2 new bolts or get the plate and it is job done. I welded bolts on a plate but paddocks have them. Not sure if we are talking about the same bolts though.

Thanks I’ll try that

replace it with standard nut/bolt rather than the captive plate. Don't need a special order and makes removal in future easier as you don't have to rely on the integrity of the plate to holy the force you can get a spanner to it.

Thanks, still struggling with it though...seems to be holding fast.
