Rubber panel above the pedals sagging..any ideas?

Hi there, got a nagging problem from Mrs. Toast. The rubber trim above the pedals keeps flopping down. the one i mean is the sheet with the slots in it for the pedals that covers the bulkhead in the drivers foot-well. i keep shoving it back into the channel at the top but it just keeps coming astray. There does not appear to be any kid of fixing. Am I right in thinking that I have a piece missing perhaps another length of channel that slots in sort of interference fit kind of thing? Anyone else had this?

Mine was always falling out, i dont think there was anything missing just poor design.

I drilled a small hole through the metal tab and the rubber trim behind it and another hole just below and used a cable tie to hold it up in place ! Never fallen down again.

Why do you need it?

Surplus to requirements, so get rid ...

Then you can sort out yer floppy rubber bit

I used spray on evostick. Worked ok, but you need to have something to hand to prop it

Thanks guys will give it the old belt and braces; glue and cable ties. Mrs Toast will be pleased until the autumn as i think she forgot about telling me that it kept her High heels dry when the morning dribble splashed off her leg.

Part you're looking for is BTR6194 (for right hand side), it's a bit of bent tin with 4 clearance holes in it and it squishes the top of the rubber trim into the heater duct.

Alm.

Will that stop him peeing on her high heels??

Just make your own bracket. It can't be too difficult. Even a strip of metal over the edge of the rubber and riveted in place will do the job nicely

Pretty sure making one will cost you about 1000 times less, and it will be less prone to LR design faults.

Unless of course you're the monopoly man, in which case I'll sell you one for £50.

Toast - I had the same problem but on the passenger side. I cut a couple of wooden shims and wedged them between the metal and the sound deadening material. Worked a treat and it if you need access to those areas (which you will) it is non permanent.
I think the material is heavy and the fit gets baggy over time and it just flops down on your feet
