Hi Anyone tell me how the near side wing mirror cover comes off, hit part of a tree sticking out into road , smashed cover and glass but all motors seem to work ok, loath to pay nearly £200 for a complete assembly if I can just renew cover and glass any thoughts ideas appreciated PeteC

Aug 2010 ordered and fitted new alternator to my 95 300tdi, today it started making some horrible noise and getting very hot :( although no light came on and the rev works ok so I assume a bearing I had bought the alternator from Alternator mart £97 today same thing £138 anybody got any ideas...

I found mine was leaking from the top of the windscreen seal and running down the side channel covered by the windscreen rubber on the outside, injected some silicon and leak cured, :) took ages to dry the sponge sound proofing, stuff soaked the water up like a sponge :( Pete

Looking for guidance, stripped my water pump today to change the leaking P gasket, when removing the top intercooler hose there was a fair bit of wet oil about inside the hoses and shinning a torch into the intercooler you could see the wet oil covering the inside, it's just passed it's Mot and...

Thanks for the help, it cancels turning right but not left, is it much of a problem to take the steering wheel off, from what you both said I would think it's that collar at fault, I found a small piece of plastic sat in the bottom cover ? Pete
