    Output oil seal

Sometimes the inner spring comes off when fitting oil seals, you can add some grease to the inner spring are to stop the spring coming off. Also push the seal in if you can, you also need to lube the running surface before fitting.

Both Big connectors go to the battery, I think it's a way of reducing the resistance by using two wires.

    Problem starter

Confused, is it a 2.5 or 2.1/4 just 90’s have a 2.5 engine with a slightly different fuel system, it has a fuel return. Does it have an electronic fuel pump? Mechanical fuel pump, it sounds like the float in the carb could be at fault, its not uncommon for the float/needle or seat to become...

It’s an earth problem, other bulbs being illuminated while switching on others is a sign of the circuit can’t be completed other than going through another bulb. Check your earth connections, joints to do with the problem lights.

Disconnect this...

    reverse springs...........

The reverse springs (external) hold the gate closed to stop accidental movement into reverse. If the pinch bolts in the selector shafts are loose it can cause gate misalignment and problems in selecting gears. There are other springs inside the top cover (Detent springs) these hold the...

    Oil Temp Gauge ???

That looks the job, that wasn’t what I was on about but does the same, it looks like the hole in the side is for the Temp sender. The T piece I was on about was a brass T with a hole and threaded, I think you can get them from a motorist shop and would be £££ cheaper. Saying that the unit...
