sounds like loading of the engine. firstly do you have Air con? second do you have electric (ceramic) heater in the matrix if you put the fan on full with full heat and up to the windscreen then the electric heater comes on (drawing a lot of electric) and also the drive for the air con...

i would expect that the dealer my be able to get the code with the radio serial number or the car reg or the car vin. though they may charge you. failing that then you can get it decoded at a lot of places. I know of one or two in yorkshire.

ok got to the engine without the rain. took me almost a minute to find a great big tear in the hose from the intercooler to the ducting to the EGR valve. price 19 quid for a new one. lets hope this is the only thing needing replacing. cheers guys:D:D:D

yes the weld fixed the problem on mine. it just seccures the nut so that you can get it really tight and so no movenment, also it stops any sidewase movement ed

may be it was dont do diy re-gassing. i tried it and lost more pressure than I gained. The cans dont go anywhere near as high pressure as you need for a freeby. am I right in thinking about 120psi is about the middle of the range for AC pressure?

this may sound an obvious one but have you checked the plug onto the motor is still connected. I kept knocking it out when resting foot near clutch on my old freeby but not done it on the newer one (as it is auto) if you need to find it, it is at about 2-3" above the floor on the drivers...
