Hi guys. I have done a search and found to look at the hoses but...

I have recently cleaned out the EGR valve and checked the hoses. they all seem ok but a little sqidgey (they collapse when i put my hand over the air intake in the filter housing)

my car was running realy well.. i mean poo off a poker fast and well then i stopped left it parked for about 10 mins then when i set off it was realy sluggish and black smoke out the back end.

so tomorow i'll re check the turbo hoses. etc but what else should i look at.

please help 'cause i just got laid off and need to get about to find a new job.

cheers

Turbo hoses, Air filter and egr valve.

I suspect it will be turbo hose delaminated or split though

Check for split turbo hose. Mine went on the inside bend of the short 90deg hose on the intake manifold. They also go on the longer turbo hose that rubs on the screw on the top front of the engine.

Hope that you get a job sorted asap. :)

ok got to the engine without the rain. took me almost a minute to find a great big tear in the hose from the intercooler to the ducting to the EGR valve.

price 19 quid for a new one.

lets hope this is the only thing needing replacing.

cheers guys:D:D:D
