Fitting 16" X 8" ET-35 deep dish modulars 265/75/16

Hi guys,

i was running a 2" terrafirma lift, 265/75/16 on alloys with 1" inch wheel spacers, to stop the tires rubbing.

I fancied some deep dish modulars, as to not use wheel spacers anymore. I went for ET-35, Long story short, my calculations were WAY OFF! They rub like mad, i can see im going to have to cut the edges off my front bumper & move my rocksliders back a touch, thats a cert! I know i need extended wheel arches...but, in general what mods are needed to be done, to allow them...do they need a 4 inch lift, do i have to cut my doors & arches Etc...As i do quite a bit of laning & pay/play days, when she flexes alot & buries the wheels into the arches, i can see these rims being an issue.

The money i spent on them, i dont want it to be a waste, as i cant return them.

They're a 92mm change versus standard wheels. Whichever direction they move or turn, that looks like a major job to cut away enough to prevent tyre contact.

What is the offset for std wheels?

the front is all that catches when full locking, I dont mind cutting the edges of the bumper...im just wondering whats going to happen when flexing

A lift shouldn't stop rubbing, unless the lift doesn't let the suspension compress. Or are you not off roading?

I'd imagine with that offset change you're going to get fouling of the tyre on the top inner edge of the wheelarch while flexing.
I run narrower tyres than you (235/85 Special Tracks) on standard modulars at the front and a 2inch lift & they currently touch the top edge occasionally, dependant on articulation and bump travel

sorry the rubbing was on the radius arms on full lock, thats why i needed the inch spacers.

Many people fit -35 rims and go back to more modest offset due to fouling on the arches. You’ll see lots of people on marketplace selling them for this reason. Im not sure there is much you can do other than cut the arches and try and limit articulation, which kind of defeats the object of having that fantastic D2 suspension setup in the first place.
They look great though, so id have a factory alloy set for laning and a -35 set for show.
