No not done anything to it yet, was just my thought it was the motor, so that's why I asked if it was a replacement part or not
Sounds feasible, but not particularly logical. Could buy a new motor, only to find it still won't work. If you supply known working wires to the suspect motor, if it works, that points to possible wiring or switch issue. Then you can check them out with known working bits. Hopefully it's a simple, cheap-er than a replacement motor Dopey. You can trust me...been in sales all my life ¦~]

Yea thanks, I will try, but I would guess you have to solder stuff? But I will have a look at it again with different eyes, like you say a few wires is cheaper

If you don't want to solder (I wouldn't), once you've identified the correct working wires, cut them one at a time, then extend them to the other mirror's motor wiring and try switching with the "donor" mirror switch. When you've gone through that process and found the problem, reconnect the wiring using insulated terminals. Order your new "broken bit" if necessary, then give yourself a pat on the back and treat yourself to your favourite tipple, or dolly mixtures...or whatever floats your boat, mate!

You are a star and an inspiration to us all. I only worked for the NAAFI but I salute you
NAAFI - No Ambition And Feckall Interest - :p:p:p Sorry mate could'nt resist that one, lifesavers for a hungry thirsty young sprog as I was at the time. Many many moons ago. Said to me recently - I flew solo before Pontius was a pilot. cheeky bugger.

Dopey, you may be able to transfer the internals from a donor wing mirror to your cowl, but it will involve depinning - so a bit of patience and a steady hand. Last time I was in one I wasn't v successful - but didn't try depinning that time, and just decided to respray the donor mirror

Kept me and wee man occupied for a while.
Just anti bacterial cleaner and some wipes.
And for the keen eyes the seat module is out a 3 series and lacking buttons for the l322.
Everything works except its missing the front bolster adjust and the steering wheel is always in the rest position. But I'm comfy and it didn't cost a penny.. I have got the right unit but no reason to change it

Intercooler flushed and now sat on the drive drying. New turbo hoses fitted ready for when the cooler goes back on. Easy enough to take off apart from that one bottom bolt on the battery side which is a sod to get at.
