Hi all anyone got the rectifier part no for the 2.5 Dr. Read it somewhere on here the other day and can't find it now:oops: just spent the last two hours going through the latest threads and searching but to no avail:(:(:(. Reason being mines only putting 13.8v out and fitted new battery so want to upgrade alternator to 14.5v

Edit that should be 2.5td bloody predictive text
Just replaced mine. That hidden screw is hex head by the way if you haven't done it. Now I get 14.5v :D:D:D Thanks to this forum as usual

Sat bored today whilst it rained and found this on a YouTube video..

Check out at point at 9:17mins. Anyone recognise it.

Such a shame to watch them Die so to speak. :(

The P38 as with Range rover you could pick up quite cheaply at one time so, someone would buy one for a few hundred quid have some run then throw it away..

But in recent months P38 Prices have been slowly creeping up as their numbers have diminished ..

The classic went through that phase of being worth £600 one year £6000 the next and now a good early 2dr changes hands for £60k

I bet the people that bobtailed and basically ruined many a RRC are kicking themselves now lol :D

Here's another early RR P38 that has been left..

And there is this video..

Which captions the slow demise of old Land Rovers and Range rovers that have been left

Such a shame..

Had a good reminisce about my old MK3 watching this (and Mk1 & MK2!!) but she's no doubt long dissolved by now. Had a look at their site. Shame they dont do P38 pieces. Be good if they could do a rear lower tailgate skin in steel, if nothing else...the answer to a hundred rotten RR's.

Spent a happy couple of hours playing with BECM settings for a little project i have in mind and also comparing EDC settings between my 2 P38's just out of curiosity. Modulation needs sorting on the project car when the weather gets warmer.

I still have the mk1 and have used a couple of there panels, they worked out a way of pressing out low volume panels from smaller moulds then the factory ones which where huge and weighted several tons each, mk2s and 3s are very rare now I cant remember the last time I saw a mk3 on the road.
I don't even know if there are any new panels for the p38 there must be some but haven't seen any for sale.

Have to admit, I agree I haven't seen new panels around. I think Robber bros have some, but they must be old stock.
I have contact with a GRP workshop and looking at a GRP tail gate skin.

Drove to the big town and did some red tape type paperwork:D

And the white van man dropped of something

Through another few hundred quid on mre replacement hifi components. It now stays on but ive still nothing showing on the head unit. I have conected another sat nav drive so i hope i dont have a flat battery in the morning. Im passing it on to a specialist car hifi place to see if they can get to the bottom of this issue

Travelling back away to work tomorrow so the beast is now back on axel stands for the next 10 months. First job on return is to replace the micro switch in the door lock so I can get the bugger started.

Don't worry, I'm sure she will have thought of something else by then.. for when you get back...

Oh ok didn't notice it was about a VM. This section can be confusing at times when you can get five posts about ten different vehicles. And the answer or comment could be to a post made three weeks ago. ;):D

Damn sight easier to search when they start a new thread with an appropriate subject title as well. No wonder people are always wondering where the hell they read it!
