What have you done to your Landie today.

Got all the tools out (found mice had gotten into my tool box and ate the foam) and parts for changing my rear ujs. Got underneath and found the prop bolts just span on the trans brake end. Looked up and the rain cloud and setting sun, crawled back from under, put tools away and went back inside :(

With the new handbrake overhaul kit in the post (hopefully here this week) I've removed the gearbox output flange, handbrake surround to allow for new expander and clips to be fitted, also disconnected the handbrake cable from the linkages and removed the linkages. Also got transmission oil in my hair :D Good night all in all

Well, last night, but as we went on till 12.30 I guess technically it's also today ..

Messed about at TopCats with winch motors and solenoids .. I now have a working control set that's cost nothing except wire and connections and time! TC is a top bloke .. ;)

I also have a different winch motor 'cos mine doesn't work. The field coils lost all their non-conductive coatings, effectively burnt it off! Just need to fettle the motor shaft and the winch drive adaptor 'cos they're completely different things .. mine is a splined end, the one I was given is a keyed end, but I'm sure I can cobble something together.

Next I'm trying wire rope splicing to add a hook to the end!! ;)

Used it to tow a friends boat back from the sailing place, rolled the window down on the passenger side and realised what a grumble she makes when I put my foot down, was surprised :D

 ****part filters on Xan what was the previous owner thinking.
Rectified that today with some main stealers filters. And some lovely new nectar for the diff's and regreased reverse nipple :D.
Transfer and gearbox tomorrow now cause dinner is calling

I removed the in tank fuel pump from my landy and fitted a new seal and retaining ring as it leaked the last time I filled up the tank. I also removed the Passenger side front seat belt that broke at the weekend, ready to fit the replacement when it arrives.

Nearly passed the Mot

Me and Pikey just spent the last 3 hours to change 1 shackle bush

Still......all I gotta do is get her back to the test station and I's got me a brand noo ticket tomorrow :D :D
