Sold it at having it for seven years. Change in circumstance forced sale. So sorry to see the old bugger go.:hurt: LOL

Thursday night front prop let go and took out oil cooler pipe and oil filter housing where the pipe fits on. Towed home and now very oily and mashed up engine bay. Frantic weekend hunting down parts and ordered new prop shaft. That not appear till Tuesday. Got replacement oil pipes and filter...

got the defender insured after two days eventually. This weekend rough noises from front axle on lock, looks like cv joint is going to be replaced.

just waiting on rear door to be painted ready to replace old door

sorry used 17mm nuts as spacers and shanked 8.8 steel bolts inplace of original bolts to bolt it back together
-
yup shorter belt would have been easier but but can just get belt now from dealers
-
used two bolts longer than the original bracket bolts and the third bolt that holds on bracket was sheared of in the block. Used two 17mm head bolts as spacers with spring washers. All tight and firm this has had no effect on the alternator belt adjustment. Had to turn pump slightly as pipe...

fitted a new crankcase breather pipe. Hopefully now the oil should stay in the engine :D
-
sorry mad hat man but I can only find one belt for the power steering listed on any retailers site for a 200tdi defender. Was just wondering if any one else has had to do this
-
just wondering if any one else has had to put in spacers to get the power steering belt to fit and allow adjustment. I had to put in two bolts to space out otherwise the belt would just hand loose on full adjustment of the pump. This is a 200 tdi defender engine not a discovery engine swap.

had new brake servo fitted, now it actually stops when it should :)
