Replaced the brake master cylinder on the 200tdi Disco, because it was ****ing fluid everywhere, then tightened up the adjustment screw a tad on the well past its best steering box.

The 300 Disco had its leaky output shaft seal replaced, along with new hand brake shoes, springs & a cable, so that's another leak (hopefully) sorted out.

I've been getting an error code occasionally, namely 15.2 high speed crank (logged). Recently, it's been showing up more often. Reading on here and elsewhere suggests that this often has something to do with a poor signal from the crank position sensor. I tried shimming it out with a washer, and the car wouldn't start at all. Then I swapped it for a spare one that I'd taken off in January and the engine started. I've taken it for a run with some opportunities for a long blast where I can get up to 70, and the error hasn't returned, so maybe that's what it was.

Carried on tinkering, thought I'd check glowplugs ready for winter (I know the 300 tdi shouldn't need them but they are there so may as well check), got power to No1 cylinder so that meant all plugs getting power as No1 is at the far end of the power lead. Disconnected all plugs and continuity checked them to ground, No1 & 2 fine 3 & 4 duff, all 4 changed - job done!

Ninety gave up its 2.5 n/a Engine today

Both gearboxes out and Disco steering box fitted:)

800 miles after I fit the refurbished 200tdi in my Defender, I checked most bolts/screws/jubilee clips just to see if they were all still tight, has leaked hardly any oil which is nice, fitted another fuse box, so now have one for the main and aux battery. Sorted the air horn which was down to a ruined relay :p bloody Italian ****e. Also wanted to clean it but ran out of saturday :D Should hopefully get a chance tomorrow :)
