Hi It sounds like the head gasket is on its way out. The same thing happened to a mates disco, no heat from blowers, losing coolant. I you are getting air bubbles in the expansion tank it will almost certainly be coming from a failing head gasket. Good news. If you have some tools it is not too...

Hi. Without knowing how good the rest of your landy is, you could buy another vehicle with a better chassis, swap what you want and sell the rest on or keep for spares. 1500 is a lot of money unless you intend keeping the vehicle indefinitely. Cheers

Hi. Don't buy one, bump is right. Absolutely no special tool other than flat screwdriver and hammer needed. I fitted my overdrive the other month and that is all I did it with. The nut on the end of the shaft is so robust anyway, that I would doubt that you could damage it much.
