I have my Rangie on charge whenever I am not using it for more than a week. It has no problems with the battery remaining connected and it starts when I need it! If I didn't charge it up, it would be flat in a week.

Another area to check is the battery earth. I had a loose earth which caused the temp guage to go into the red when it became less effective.

My sunroof material is a real mess as well. I have been advised to change the complete sunroof assembly for one which has a good cover on it. Still a pain of a job to do. Might try material glue first - you can get this from places like Hobbycraft.

Looks to be in very good condition to me - mine took a lot of work to bring it up to this kind of standard. It could be that the suspension is just set to its low setting for getting in / out. Make sure it raises fully and check the underside for condition of the airbags - make sure they are not...

Hi, I recently had the very same problem, but with my tailgate. The bloody beeping drove me mad until I looked into it. Turned out to be a loose connection in the tailgate loom. A bit of WD40 and a check of the wires cured the problem. Good luck.
