I did glow plugs, leak offs and in tank pump ( which I noticed wasn't working when I tried to prime the filter after a change.) Now starts perfectly cold. Also I have a CTEK clever charger which is awesome.
Must be that time, this month I've replaced the fuel lift pump and oil filter housing, in October I changed the drive belt tensioner bracket and pulley ( stripped pulley bolt threads ), thermostat and drive belt.
Heater O rings replaced, I though that was a mission until I changed the heater syncron motors, blimey.
6 knuckles surviving. But I had got feed up with cold feet and a pink air duct. All working now.
I changed the oil at the weekend, let's just say it's now not very red. It sounds like a clutch pack. Over reving on the gear change ( it rises according to how far you put your foot down ! ) Fecking scary when you go to over take.........
Hi.
My DHSE has started to over rev when the box changes from 2 to 3, is there a clutch pack for each gear swap ? It's a 2001 model, just having passed 168000 k today. I've tried lucas and a fluid change with no difference.
Cut my losses and get an Ashcroft box, hoses and cooler rad ?

Has any one tried Cooper Zeons yet, they look pretty good and although I'd like to think I need some super chunky tyres, most of the time I'm on road. These seem to come out well.

Good point, well made. By the time I would have worked that one out i would have a wet arm. Out of the envelope and straight under the car, no patience.
Yup, they actually locate by clipping into the moulding on the reservoir it's self, so gently lever it out forwards, if there is any fluid in the reservoir it will run down your arm into your armpit.
Yesterday I found the debris and bolt of what looks like some sort of heat shield, could it be off the height sensor?
The other odd thing is that the exhaust section under the drivers seat appears to have dropped, allowing it to vibrate on the circular cross member. All the mounting rubbers...
I took mine off because the bars were to wide for my roof box brackets, now have standard THULE bars with various equipment attachments which go on when required.
