In the process of doing exactly the same jobs. Finished the brake pipes yesterday, what a bastard.I'd already done the axle pipes but when I dropped the tank I found the front to rear pipes were fecked as well. There are two and they are both just under 4 meters in length!!! Hope your leak isn't the pump to filter pipe, mine was rotted away (car had been standing for over 4 years), it's mega expensive.

That must be an early one Alan new ones are plastic.

Too true, obviously they don't sell a lot of them.:(

When you consider you can get a refurbed alternator for about the same money does put things into perspective. Land Rovers parts prices are horrendous in some cases. When they can charge £76.00 for 15" of brake pipe with two tube nuts on, that does take the biscuit. In particular when the other hand is £36.00 for same stuff bent in the opposite direction. :D:D

Just done some brake pipe's, 10p per connector (probably cheaper if I bought in bulk) and £6+ vat for the pipe (7+ metre's) makes you think ;)

Look up ANR4709 L/H and ANR4710 R/H. About 15" of brake pipe with two tube nuts. First one is £39.62 other hand is £76.87. The mind boggles.

Pump is fked. Fuel line connections at top of pump are corroded/cracked. Fittings appear different to original so new pipes that match vdo pump are required.

The fittings on all the diesel pumps should be the same. Tube nuts and olives to male pipe connections.

New pipes will just be rubber fuel pipes and clips as recommended due to not being a millionaire.

If the male couplings are ok on the ends of the plastic fuel pipes the tube nuts and olives are about two quid. Good quality 15 mm OD 8 mm ID fuel tube and proper fuel pipe clips (jubilee clips will crush the plastic) would be ok if the ends are knackered and need trimming off.

Must be that time, this month I've replaced the fuel lift pump and oil filter housing, in October I changed the drive belt tensioner bracket and pulley ( stripped pulley bolt threads ), thermostat and drive belt.

Tank out, cleaned up, pump out, new pump in, fuel lines fabricated, tank refitted. Old exhaust backpipe off, got new backpipe to fit, Waiting on filter housing and tensioner bracket.

Driver's interior door mechanism not working, external handle OK........?
