Hi, The Autobox on my TD5 2000 this morning has just started flashing one of the red lights down the side of where you change gear, and the light is flashing next to Drive, If I change down from drive to 3,2 or 1, nothing happens and the red light continues flashing next to Drive and only...

Mine has to come out with the temps here,just on my patio it is 38c, so starting on Monday will see how we get on and will report back.

As I said in my post it's a TD5 year 2000. The thermostat is not on top of the engine unfortunately but at the bottom of the radiator and you have to drain the system then take out the cooling fan viscous coupling,then out with the cooling fan lower coupling etc ;).......that was why I...

My td5 is letting water in somewhere at the front, I have blown through the Air con tubes underneath and they are clear. The windscreen rubber surround is it just for looks and the screen is glued in ? To take off the plastic front pillar surrounds that go from the roof down to the bonnet...

I live in Spain and it's exactly the same and doesn't improve but these days with the internet you can still buy whatever you want online and also for help you have the likes of this forum and others where everyone is really helpful to enable you to carry out most of the work yourself...

Great thanks, I thought that you had to drain the system and then take out the Viscous coupling before you could do anything, many thanks ;)

Is there a quick way to change the thermostat without taking everything out

If that is all it is I will be well pleased, are there any special L/R tools required to change the XYZ switch ?
