:D Carpet!....CARPET!!!!!! Get yerself down to yer local carpet place and select a nice remnant. Trim it to fit. Make sure it's nice and cheap cos you'll be chucking it in the bin in a few months and buying some more.:D

Carpet!....have you forgotten why you bought a defender ? Whats wrong with a bespoke piece of cardboard!.....even maybe stretching to some old lino...BUT CARPET?

I had to rip all my sound proofing out as it was constantly soaked. just got rubber mats now. can't be arsed with allways wiping the bloody floor dry.

If they had I don't think they'd be likely to admit to it.

Or if yer one of those french twots wot likes jumping over vehicles and jumping off walls Paraquats or wotevva it's called. Cos a disco is too high ta volt ovva. so it'd give yer some grip ta run ovva it.

Has anyone fitted chequer plate throughout their 110/90?

Yes. I made the mistake of doing it on my old 110 csw. I took out the carpets and chequerplated the entire floor right the way through. I especially liked the look of the rear tub. The downsides soon showed emselves. It was noisy both from the chequerplate rattling (even though I'd used silicone sealer to help stop it) and road/engine noise, cold in winter and very slippery when wet or muddy. I ended up putting the carpets back over the top and only took em up when off roading and then when I sold it.
