I've just replaced the clutch master cylinder and got it all back together only to find the windscreen wipers have stopped working!
I've swapped the relays and the fuse under the bonnet and still no good so I've fitted a new motor and linkage plus fitted new stalk/switch and still no joy.
While I had the scuttle off it rained quite heavy and the carpet on the passenger side is very wet and I recall reading somewhere that there are electrics under the carpet that are affected by the water, I would be grateful if anyone could confirm this before I take the passenger seat out and lift the carpet.
Any other suggestions as to the cause of the fault would be greatly appreciated.
Ps: the screen washer is working but no wipers.
Cheers And

The Central Junction Box (CJB) (sometimes called a BCM) is bolted to the bulkhead, below the glove box. It's very possible it has got wet if water was allowed to enter the cabin by the harness access routes.

I'd be checking that first. There's nothing below the carpet other than wiring for the seats, which won't effect the wipers.
On these vehicles, the first port of call is a diagnostic read on the CJB and seen what comes up. You'll need a multi systems reader though, or a trip to a suitably equipped garage.
