Hi!
Anyone fitted one of these? I have seen them & wonder how easy they are to fit, how good they look when fitted & how long they are likely to last?
If anyone has fitted one, where is the best place to get one? I have seen them on ebay ranging from about 80 quid to 140 quid.
They look nice in pics but are they in reality?
Cheers
Jez

My disco 2 had one of these fitted when i bought it but it is the proper land rover one. Can`t say how easy they are to fit but it looks good, can post a picture if you want.

I was looking at one of those kits for my 2002 Disco 2....Look very good in the picture but would be nice to see what they look like in the flesh ( so to speak ).

I guess until someone who's actually fitted one posts a reply we will never know......unless one of us goes first! Seriously though, they do look good & make the interior just a bit more classy than the current grey plastic!

They are a bugger to line up right, with all the thin sections but they do look nice to first glance. They are after all just sticky back plastic, puffed up a bit,so the cost is daylight robbery.Maybe the proper LR ones are better,I dont know.Worth about 20 quid max,the ones Ive seen. But hey, they do spruce up an ES nicely.

I did fit a similar kit to a Toyota Prado that my dad had, it fit ok but the only thing to remember is that everything has to be cleaned thoroughly before applying the kit. I found the best thing to clean the dash with was methylated spirits, it removes all traces of wax and silicone but dries off within seconds.
This is my dash i only have the 2 end vents done and the center dash, just enough without going over the top.

That looks the DB's! Just enough to offer a bit of class without going OTT. Nice job too, where did you get the kit? Is it an Ebay special?
Cheers!

It was on the car when i got it, i am pretty shure it is a genuine LR kit as all the work that the previous owners have had done have all been done by the dealer. I have also seen the e-bay one for the p38 range rover and the kit in my car is a lot thicker.
There was some one on e-bay a couple of weeks ago selling the genuine wood kits at a reasonable price, don`t know if they are still on there, will have a look later.
