Hi all.

I'm generally nicing up my car (having spent s****loads on a rebuild) and the high level brake light is cracked so I'm thinking of replacing it.
I know this is a real pain as the bond used to stick it on is a nightmare to shift.
But while looking for a replacement I've seen some spoilers as an alternative, so just considering it.
Has anyone fitted one of these? Are there any problems with them, e.g. do they interfere with roof racks?
Do they look terrible?
Anyone got any good tips for removing the original without damaging the door??

Thanks

I'll take that as a no then,
I'll have a go and let you know how it goes!
I am led to believe the spoliers do keep the rear of the car cleaner for longer.

Also read that the best thing to do with the top rear brake light is to get a windscreen fitter to remove it, as they will be used to bonded in parts.
We had the same on some Daf XF105 top spot lights, I took hours getting the thing out without damage, next time screen fitter had it out in 5 minutes!

Plus you can get the coloured self adhesive tape in red/yellow/white especially for lights etc.

Great tip, thanks!

don't try to short cut the bonding process , had a rear roof spoiler fitted by dealer for my son's birthday two week later it split and one piece left the car at motorway speeds never to be seen again
