i think you should check the solenoid on the injector pump see that the wire is connected and you hear the clicking of the solenoid . i had the samy prob wit my 300tdi 90 after i was pulling a truck that was stuck inthe mud and the wire had jumped off the solenoid

thanks defcrazy ive tried the solenoid wire its ok ! had a friend come look and he got it started with a probe from the battery to the glowplug fuse it worked fine for a few hours then cut out again with the same problem so there must be some electrical fault as it seems to be losing all power to the fuel pump i think il have to gret auto sparky to have a look thanks for your help:)

Might sound daft but that happend to me first time i went off road. Is the engine trying to turn or is just nothing happening? I was lucky it was just something to do with the alarm and immob all i had to do was close all doors lock it and unlock it and it worked.

hi mate is your fuel cut solenoid packing packing up as have had loads of fiat scudos with a similar prob and had a disco with the same prob about 2 month ago. just a thought.
