wont start

When I try to start my disco it just clicks.... I removed and charged the battery even though it was pretty well charged anyway. I think it may be the starter motor any ideas please people

IF your battery is ok, then it probably the starter solenoid. Get underneath, give it a tap with a hammer and then get someone to try and start it - STAND CLEAR !!!!

ditto above, but if you are hearing a click noise when you turn the key it may be a faulty wire connection to the starter motor or the motor itself, use the hammer on the starter motor as well...

make sure your engine earth strap is clean or not broke! if your earths are ok your problem most certainly is either the solonoid on the starter or the brushes in the starter are worn or stuck due to ****e!

Thanks all for your ideas I think it is the starter as in bumps real easy gonna put anew one on at the wk end..
