wont bloody start

Fitted new head gasket and reckon head today on my 300tdi disco now bloody thing wont start. Don't seem to have much fuel getting through, anybody got any idear what I got wrong Thanks

the lift pump feels like theres not much happening would have thought it would feel like im priming fuel up but nowt happening on the lever

'priming lever will only work when the pump actuator is on the heel of the cam lobe.'
