Disco 1 Wiring query

i am taking my engine out an will be transplanting into 110. It is a 300Tdi auto with EDC, so reading the Haynes manual it tells you to disconnect the two multi plugs, with the auto it seems to have a massive ecu type connector.
If I am changing the pump to a manual version, can I trace all the ends of the ecu plug and cut them off? i.e. Leave the two multi plugs, then work with those?

since yout putting it in a defender and fitting a manual pump why dont you just extend wiring that is there , you only need an ignition feed for stop solenoid

I am going to use the wiring that is there for the basics but it is the big thick bundle of wires that I don't know if I can just chop them back.
