Sounds like you need an auto electrician to look at it, if you are not familiar with the wiring side of Landies ...

Sounds like it's suffered from poor repair practices. Missing screws is a classic sign of this.

The CRASH status is set when the battery voltage suddenly plummets, normally by trying to start the engine with a week or failing battery.
Unfortunately CRASH status can't be cleared by normal diagnostic equipment, only high specification or JLR diagnostic tools clear it.
It's not the end of the world, as other than showing a code under interrogation, it's pretty meaningless.

Once the ignition has been cycled after CRASH status was set, it no longer prevents the vehicle from running. This is explained in the owners handbook.

As for the wiper issue, I'd try a hard reset, and if the battery is over 4 years old, it'll on its last legs, so consider replacing it with a quality replacement.
