I'm thinking of buying a 12V mini strip light to wire into the boot area - the standard light on the right hand side is feeble and a brighter light would be much handier in the winter.

Would it be a simple matter of adding new wiring onto the existing interior light, or would it need a new wire taken into the engine bay? Would a fuse in the additional wiring be required? Electrics are not my strong point, any advice would be good.

The alternative I guess would be to install a battery powered striplight or LED light somewhere in the boot.

thanks.

use the led type, disconnect existing light and re-route cabling, job done. did this on mine yonks ago as I need to be able to find stuff in the dark for work.

don't buy the 12v flourescent lamps, they won't last longer than 6 months cos the light turns on every time you unlock the doors.

Thanks OP, job sounds an easy one.
