Boot Latch Keeps Opening

Morning all, hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

Recently the boot latch on my 2013 FL2 keeps unlocking when the car is on / driving. Light then pops up on the dashboard saying Tailgate open.

When driving you can hear the boot latch opening multiple times, even though its already opened. Happens sporadically.

I've taken the boot trim off, and all connections look ok and no water leaks are present.

Any ideas if this would be a new locking catch latch, or the handle with release switch?

From memory the boot external release switch is disabled once the vehicle reaches 5 MPH, so in theory it can't trigger the latch at higher speeds.
You could try unplugging the external latch to eliminate it, before moving to the next stage of testing.
