Hi, Newbie to Landrovers...

Just bought a 10 plate FL2 HSE.

Silly question but...there is a small oval boot light fitting located on the LH side of the boot. Its currently inoperative and on popping it out to look at replacing what I would expect to be a festoon bulb or maybe an LED I found there is nothing but the lens - I cant find a corresponding plug or wiring (although not removed the trim panel yet)
So my questions are -
-Should there be a fitment or wiring?- it seems a decent spec not to have a boot light..
- Is there a known issue that means someone may have removed the fitment?
-Is there a work around for this - perhaps a light fitting with a manual switch that can be wired in?

Thanks in advance

Look behind the trim the light skeleton should be there the bulb just clips into the lens check the lens for evidence of lamp overheating plastic distorts then won't hold the bulb

Yes, there should be a lamp holder behind the oval light front. It clips into back of the oval front. Also the light is a Ford part, as the FL2 more Ford than LR so has many Ford parts fitted to it.

I expect the LH trim has been removed and the person fitting it didn't connect the light back up, so it'll be stuck behind somewhere.
