Hi. Need a bit of help. Im a bit of an electrics novice.

Problem started with the washer jets stopped working.
I looked for the fuse but that was not blown ?
I took the steering column apart and found a loose wire at the back of the wiper arm.
I touched to wire on something metal and there was a spark from behind the fuse cover board.
Now nothing works at all.
The fuse board does not seem to have a fuse for the wipers ?
Would this be to do with one of the yellow relays ?

I just need the wipers to work, thats the urgent answer. I can do without a washer jets, but I obviously want to fix that at some point.

Thanks in advance.

yes you are a pratt :).

always test things like that with a 5w light bulb to ground. Think the fuse yu need does many things. Check them all.

And the year? Also you say nothing works? can you specify some of these items? Do the side/main dip beams still work?

Its an N Reg.

Headlights side and main beam all seem to work OK.

Sorry. When I said "nothing works" I meant, the wipers don't work at all on any of the settings.

Right. Fixed. The wipers are working again.
The fuse 4 - 10A was blown. It didn't look it but it was.

However, the washer jets still dont work.
Anyone got a list or a picture of where the wires need to connect to on the back of the stalk ? They are all different colours and numbers. The one that is loose is black. I took a picture on my phone so I will see if I can upload it.

I also found this on a search but was not sure ? It does not even mention a completly black wire ?
