Just put the motor back and when it's all together run the window all the way down and hold the button for 5 seconds, the all the way up and hold the button for 5 seconds, you should then get a window set message.

I did my window regulator last weekend - the most difficult bit was getting the ball joint into the new clips I had purchased, had to use a G clamp in the end! Took about two days for the window to stop screeching when it went up and down...

Let you know how i get on. got to replace the door latch in the door too, other one's out at the min and door held closed with a bungee. it's ok cos its not on the road as yet.

Drivers side need a new latch too as it only opens with the key. passangers front was dead locked so i had to smash the white strip off the lock to release the spring etc. iv'e been looking at complete doors for the parts i need as they seem to be cheeper if i buy a hole door and remove the parts i want then sell the door again

I would still recommend getting a new regulator - they rust and snap due to fatigue - the last thing you want is to put an old one on and it snaps 2 weeks down the line, especially as they are only £23

Yes the one im fitting is a new regulator, like you say they are cheep, the old one has a big rip in it near to a rivet, unsure how that happened, was not me that did it, it never closes propley either, leaves a small gap near the door pillow..:)
