winch ?

getting a winch at the end of the month i am only spending under 300, i have seen two but dont know alot about them.
first one is the winchmax 13000lb its comes with all the stuff for £259.
second is champion 13000lb also comes with the stuff for £234.
could any of yous give me some advice please ;-)

I got a champion, its a great winch, reliable, works well submerged in mud/water, has plenty of pull and although isn't the fastest it isn't the slowest either...

That's all well & good but he lives in Glasgow. He'll only have it 10 minuate's & somone will have nicked it.

If you're not going to use it for a winch challange, then both will do the job.

That does indeed look like a good winch. Im in the same boat as hutchie, dont want to spend top dollar as id never be using it for winch challanges just for the occasional recovery.

I will say the Chamion winch comes with a 3 year warranty... thats what sold it for me...

You'll spend the next 10 mins sweating your nuts off cos you never get any exercise.
If you play by the rules you'll never be on you own anyway, so you can always get a tow.
I'll give you that it will never brake down but get with the times man.

my replacement motor cost more than that..

in the land of winches its simple buy cheap buy twice

I know there good been using them for years on various 4x4,s . Followed the link but unless you use a dyson to winch its the wrong one

know where there is a Ramsey in good fettle for £300

I have one of them but the soinoied that comes with it is crap.
It also needs striped and greased properly first but othere than that its ok for occasional use.

Its the same company but its the budget range, the champion stuff is better quality, solonoid is better protected and sealed e.t.c.

champion it is then dont worry it will get weilded so dont need to worry about the winch getting stole although i will need to try n weild my car to the tarmac lol !
