I've laser cut some headlamp surrounds for my 90. They're as standard except for one thing.
I've laser cut 40 holes in them around the lights and stuck white leds in like on Audis and Rangies. They're wired into my sidelights but I can turn them off :D Looks fantastic... but I'm just waiting for all the stick when I turn up off road next time :D
Got them off at the moment to tidy up the wires and stuff cos I only stuck em on to have a look.

we need pics before we decide

Not got any yet as I've took them back off to finish. Need to laser cut the other side now as I only had material for one. It was a spur of the moment thing. I saw my old technology teacher and just said, "Mind if I use the cutter?" and he said "sure, if you can still remember how to use it."

I'll get some pics of my nice new fairy lights in the dark when they're all sorted. The problem is my school is shut now until january so I can't do the second one until then.

drill would work fine, just build a little jig first.

And. no. they are not acceptable. they look ****. like really ****. every audi you see out there you can't drive past without laughing and wonder if its actually inverted they are trying to compensate so much.

Well I have the diagrams I used on the laser cutter so I could easily prove I had it first.
.

Tough Titty.

Someone else invented the electric light bulb before Edison, but Edison got to the patent office two hours before him and Eddison got the patent. That's the story, anyway.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE ....

If you can prove you designed something first you can copyright it. You can also appeal a patent.
