Broke passenger side headlight and rear light - where's the harness?

So, somehow, not really sure, I've ended up with only a drivers side headlight, and the passenger side headlight and running light aren't working. Nor are the rear reds. Brakes do work.

I was doing some other wiring, didn't touch the headlights, and now they're busted. They're some badly wired up LEDs from the previous owner, so I'm not that precious about them.

What's odd if that the one drivers side is working, and the others aren't, so I'm assuming wherever the harness breaks out I knocked something loose.

So, where should I look? Any ideas where the rear harness and passenger side harness come off the main drivers side harness for the headlights?

You haven't said what car you have, but on the Defenders each side has separate fuses.
Remember LED's have to be wired the right way around (unlike incandescant bulbs).

Power goes through the 'lights on/sidelight stalk' to to main/dipped stalk and then via 2 fuses to the lights (or through 2 fuses then up to the stalk and onto the light - can't remember which).

thanks for the pointers. I’ll take a look at the fuses.

It’s an ‘88 90. Although the PO had put in the headlights and changed the fuses to blades so nothing is labeled.

The headlights have been working fine and I didn’t touch that wiring. It’s more that I suspect in touching other bits I’ve knocked something loose, but I’ve been all over the truck fixing the PO’s wiring so not sure which bit to start with.

Given that one side works and one doesn’t I assumed the issue is near wherever the wiring splits into each side and rear.

Fuse box is as good a place as any though.

That are 2 separate looms. 1 to front then there is a plug to the rear.
Go to drivers side wing & rear loom should go that way to rear corner.
As for fuses… find the other side light fuse & hopefully it should be next to that, check for power. Can’t be a switch problem as 1 side is working.
High beam… does this work?

So, I took a look at the fuses, nothing obviously out of place, none broken. But I gave them all a wiggle to reseat any that might be loose and that fixed it.

High beams work.

DLRs and regular beams are both wired into both clicks of the headlights. I need to fix that. Another of PO’s efforts.

Thanks for the fuses tip, whatever it was, it’s fixed.
