Hi guys,

I finally have some time to to get on this (fantastic!) forum again.

Inspired by some other posts, I would like to know why you guys have a V8, and not a diesel. Money is not everything.

I bought mine in '97 and love every moment I drive it.

For me it is the lovely sound it makes, at low rpm's, and still havin all the power. A bit like a Harley.

And you ?

Reliability ?

Knock on the wood, but I have had no probs for the last 16 years.

I think the low rpm's are taking care of this engine.

Service them well and they will last forever! Mine has been a bitch of late but another member (Fanatic) came round and spent bloody hours just fiddling and putting things back as they should be and she burbles away nicely to herself now :D.

Because it wouldn't be a toy if it had a diesel.

My disco is a weekend fun car and fun cars have petrol engines.

And I like them with 8 cylinders in a V :)

v8 is the only way to go
v8 landy is awesome and i love the thought of good old fashioned technology such as carbs and a distributor working in conjunction with the v8 beast
mind you the v8 in my bmw is equally as awesome for sound and its performance is something else - but when you open the bonnet you enter the world of mystery and imagination

Doc Evil and the rest of the boys have seen this before - but you obviously haven't otherwise you wouldn't be asking such stupid questions!!!!!!
