Whistling turbo?

Went for a quick spin, washed the billing mud off and headed home.

Turbo started to whistle a bit ad I thought hmmm that sounds sporty

One mile later and its really whistling when on boost.

Have had the exhaust and inlet manifolds off recently.

Is there anything obvious I should be looking for... or is it bust

Still pulls alright, just screams like mad when under load.

Any advice appreciated.

check it plus hoses split hoses can make similar noise

Thanks for the reply. Will have a look at the hoses in the daylight.

Anything specific to look for on the turbo itself. Can't really afford to bugger the turbo up.

blades catching housing ,excess play in shaft, oil loss through turbo outlet with hose off and engine running

A big "provisional" thank you.

Just went and had a bit of a poke around the turbo and it looks like the hose on the turbo outlet hose is loose - hope that's the fix, sure it is.

Will fix it in the morning and for now my fingers and toes are crossed.
