Which propshaft UJ?

Mine is a 1992 200TDi 90 Chassis No. JA...........
For the front prop....
Paddocks list RTC3291
Bearmach say RTC3458

RTC 3458 is too small.

Someone said use RTC3346, which is bigger, but specified for Chassis numbers up to CA...... (I guess it's possible that someone has fitted an earlier propshaft?)

Is the RTC3291 the bigger version, like RTC3346?

if you look at your prop shaft you should find a number on it... the number should help you sort the uj.

i'm pretty sure its right.... but don't go blaming me if its wrong and you've got an oddball prop fitted

Ujs are the same price from car shops Waterloo in my case, can't you take the prop off an go Mondo mode to whatever yours is.

Been Mondo mode fer the last 2 weeks!
One of me local Indies only does Britpart.
The other one has ****ed me off again, so i aint goin there.

I wanna order a GKN one mail-order.

Might do, ah've just went and got an old uj to measure and see if ye need the bigger ones or not

Old ones look to be about 17mm deep (hard to measure in situ).
Wrong ones (RTC3458) look about 12mm.

The cup is 27mm or 1.062" across if that helps any

If ye're includin' the seal and retainer thingy that sits on the bearing cup, then that's 17.07mm. Probably best take the bugger out and get a better idea

Yes I did.
That says RTC3458 too, which is definitely wrong (for my prop anyway).
Cups are about 5mm too shallow.
