which is best out of these two?

ok so its for an isuzu 3.1 tdi engine which is diesel obviously.

whats the best oil out of halfords 10w40 part synthetic for diesels

or Fuchs Titan XTR 10w-40 semi synthetic?

Both API CF spec

what do we think

I can get for the same exact price

What does Isuzu recommend in the engine? Other than the obvious 10w40, does it recommend semi or full synthetic or mineral? Halfords sell their oil much much cheaper if you can get your hands on their trade card.

For what its worth either will do the job , Fuchs is a manufacturer , halfords is just a retailer . I would probably go for Fuchs out of the two , one less tier in the sales chain !

good oils ive always used and been recomended, are "morris" oil from havant motorfactors, never had any probs and dont have big advertising company price tags

I know 10w40 semi will be fine , its just which one of these two is better

the halfords price is with a trade card its more without the card £23 I think

oh btw its not so easy to get the spec from isuzu!!!!

cos its an import, there are very few dealers and none are local, the manuals that have been translated are from japan so all the grades are differnt becuase of the differnt weather and the only manual can get is a 30000 page pdf covers about 20 cars starting in 1998 on and this is a 95, some of the engines carry over with mods, also the dealers dont give a ****e for old cars and the manauls only give the api and acea specs- the api specs which I have used in the queston.

I have asked on the forum for them with no probs, but really I as wanting the opinion on those two oils vs each other as I have whittled down the choices to those two.

If its for an Isuzu, put in some castor oil, cement and half a pound of builders sand....then wash ya mouth out with soap n water
