Which headlamp bulbs

Anyone able to tell me which is best,

These - New Ring XENON ULTIMA Car Headlight Halogen Gas Bulbs + 120% H4 - Pair | eBay

or these - OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER UNLIMITED H4 for LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 94-02 High/Low Beam | eBay

These according to the reviews PHILIPS X-TREME EXTREME VISION H4 NEW HEADLIGHT BULBS | eBay

Mine are 50% and are eight years old so about time I went for the updated replacements, which will be Osram, I like the idea of the 20% whiter light.

interesting to note the difference in colour temperature of both sets of bulbs

I use the Osram nightbreakers. They give off a great amount of light over the normal bulbs, they don't seem to have a great lifespan as I have used 2 sets in the past 18 months.

I get mine off the Bay for around a tenner so it's no so bad and I always carry a spare set now.

Reliability is an issue with these bulbs according to my searches on the www.

To be honest I don't think you would be able to tell much difference between these two. They are both loads better than std halogen bulbs due to their xenon gas.

I have just in the last week changed from the standard halogens onto the Osram Nightbreakers and I am astounded at the difference in extra light and length of beam. The light seems to be easier on the eye as well. Needless to say I am well pleased with them. I see there could be an issue on their longevity so I will also get a spare set!

The glass of the bulbs can become grey or brown with age due to the heat generated by the filament which will reduce efficiency and light output.

Many motoring organisations recommend routinely replacing headlight bulbs every two years.

ive just fitted this weekend phillips x-treme vision they are brilliant,as recommended by one of the members

i just bought the Ring ones from ebay (first link) they turned up today

LHS is new bulb, RHS old.
I am impressed, photo doesn't give them justice

I've recently put the Philips xtreme vision in my disco and theres a massive difference the next job is to restore the headlight then is should be all good

Hid bulb sets are a lot better more light less voltage used and not too expensive off eBay but I think it's personal opinion

But dangerous unless fitted properly, in which case would probably cost more than I paid for my disco
