hiya

ive looked at most of the software and i own a pre obd2 2002 td4

saved my money and bought a hawkeye, brilliant bit of kit and also know its 100% accurate as the cheaper ones can give false readings

i did also buy an autocom that was suppose to work but didnt and had to get a refund, spent over a month trying to get it to work to no avail

hope that helps abit

The hawkeye isn't 100% accurate. It tells me mine has a misfire on cylinder 12. There's a number of mistakes which we have to live with.

Edit: I should add a lot of the issues we've raised regarding the hawkeye have been fixed for us some time ago by the manufacturer, with software updates.

No need to apologise. Have a look in the auto section and you should see stuff which is wrong, or never changes.

Hawkeye all the way if you look hard enough like me you will find it for £270 from some online shops.... nowadays £30 is alot to save when owning a Freelander lol

I know this post is a few years old, but rather than start "another" post, I thought I ask the question here.

How does a Hawkeye compare to say the Britpart Lynx system, as they are both the same price. I don't mind the laptop idea either.

I did see icarsoft i930 but I think this is for OBD2 only, and no idea if my 2003 Td4 pre face lift is one or not. Very cheap and covers a lot of vehicles, but no good for my Disco 1, and not sure on our Freelander 1.

Thanks :)
