I'm toying with errecting an rsj frame in the garage for engine and Body
transplants when the time comes. Any pointers as to where to get these RSJ's
without costs incurred in minor ship building?

Or alternatively any one recommend a 101 friendly hydraulic hoist for the
through the door and enough lift idea.

Try any decent builder's merchants, also Wickes offer a wide range of RSJ's,
straight off the shelf too (at least in Peterborough)

Also try a reclaimers yard, they may have some old lengths of railway
track.....

Try steel merchants Parker steel, or try around local industrial units and
ask about, I would have thought that some where like Wicks would charge an
arm and two legs for one !!!!!

Since they're used in building work, it's worth asking at a local
builder's merchants, preferably not one of the big national companies.
Similarly, blacksniths/light-engineering. The latter may well be able
to tell you what size you will need to meed safety regulations.

Good thinking.... now why didn't I think of them. doh! Always associate
these places with wood but when ever I go theres more bricks and metal than
anything else.

In fact the thought of a trip out to Les Oakes is quite exciting , and
likely to lead to another 5 projects with all the stuff I never knew existed
but can't live without once discovered. :)
