So I won't have to do anything fiddly with speedo gears and stuff like I've seen people say?
After moving from 205R16s...?
That's ok.
Will my arches be stupidly full without lift?
Hint: Everyone likes pictures...
na, 265/75 i feel is the largest you want to go without lift. looks good and gives good articulation without rub and they are not too wide either.
its a good size choice

Oh and another thing...
Paddocks has got "To fit Defender with disc brakes on rear" in its wheel and tyre packages...
But nothing about brakes about its wheels.
I assume mine with drums'll be fine, but would hate to get my nice new shiny wheels a bfg muds only to find that I need to change the back brakes before I can go and play...
if you really want to know how accurate yo speedo is - then recalibrate it against a sat nav. drive at 50 - see wot the sat nav says, write up a convertion sheet, stick it on your dash and adjust your driving accordingly.
