Three things...

265/75R16s. Will they fit on 7x16s?

Will they stick out past wheel arches?

Will they need spacers etc.?

Will be getting black modulars.

Wondering what tyres to get with them.

My 18th this sunday, hope to be getting spoilt.

Theoretically it could fail MOT, but lots pass with em on.
Check yer speedo against a pratt-nav - it won't be too far out. If you like, you can stick some little labels on yer speedo at 30, 40, 50, 60.

So I won't have to do anything fiddly with speedo gears and stuff like I've seen people say?

After moving from 205R16s...?

Dunno, when I've seen it I haven't been paying attention coz it was about boring wheels and tyres...

But now I'm interested in wheels and tyres...

Oh and another thing...

Paddocks has got "To fit Defender with disc brakes on rear" in its wheel and tyre packages...

But nothing about brakes about its wheels.

I assume mine with drums'll be fine, but would hate to get my nice new shiny wheels a bfg muds only to find that I need to change the back brakes before I can go and play...

if you really want to know how accurate yo speedo is - then recalibrate it against a sat nav. drive at 50 - see wot the sat nav says, write up a convertion sheet, stick it on your dash and adjust your driving accordingly.
