wheel spacers question ?

Some time ago I was given a set of 16" alloys with grabber a/t tyres ,they came off an older freelander and wouldnt fit my 05 td4,I decided to sell them rather than buy spacers.A mate wants to buy them and fit spacers but the only ones we can find are 30mm ,has anyone fitted spacers to a freelander, will the extra width cause a camber or tyre wear problem,any advice would be appreciated.Thanks

There are loads of spacers on ebay, a lot cheaper than what you can find on any LR parts website. Only thing is, they're 5X114.3 rather than 5X114 so while they'll physically fit, i'm not sure whether it's recommended or not.

There was a guy with a freelander when i was back in the UK who'd fitted 5X114.3 alloys and didn't seem to have any problems.

Sorry i can't answer definitely whether it would give any camber or tyre wear problems but i don't imagine 30mm on each side would make a great deal of difference.
