Was fixing a fault with the reverse parking sensors this afternoon (module for this is situated behind the drivers side rear light cluster - behind the plastic clip off cover with the filler cap release) Nice easy fix.

Anyway, i digress, whilst rooting around in there, i came across a black box with a single cable coming out of it. The cable goes up into the area at the back of the sat nave drive & the radio ariels etc. Doesn't have a part code on it & looks like it should be fixed (bolted) to something but was just wedged in there.

Any thoughts what this is?

It's the sat nav antenna.. it should be under the rear side shelf, above where the sat nav computer sits

Sat nav aerial should be at the front of the car under the O/S heater plenum plastic cover. Thing that sits above the satnav unit should have two plugs one from the aeriel and one to the satnav unit because it's the satnav receiver.

Fantastic, had no idea this could be done!
May be something to have a play around with this summer.

Thanks again Adam!

bought it as a commuting car. but left the job so its done zero miles since its service, MOT and new CPS last year, staying in dry store under a dust cover.. zero rust, everything works. new continental conti-sport contacts, 100k on it seems a shame to get rid of it..
