Hi there

I have a 2011 Freelander 2.
Iv tried to add a video onto this thread as what happens intermittently is when I start the engine there will be a long beep
(I am having problems with my front sensors too) the nave will attempt to start, then turn off, the try to turn o again with another long beep, it seems to do this for anywhere between 30 and 90 seconds.
The car unpaired any Bluetooth devices when you stop the engine and return. And the last time I had a call through them, there was piercing beep and then it disconnect my phone but the car got stuck as if it was still on a call, nothing I pressed would stop it, I had to stop the car lock it wait a few moments then start again.

My thoughts were does the Bluebooth ECU module need replacing again (I did replace it about 5 years ago)

Also I am looking at the front sensors they either don't work at all, or they remain a constant beep like something is infront of them (when there isnt)

Maybe the beeping and the nav flashing are separate issues...
To be honest like with alot of people my little green car is a terror for niggles

You need to identify the cause of the beeb, but I suspect its a faulty BT module.
A full system diagnostic will tell you which sensor is at fault. A full system diagnostic will also tell you what is up with the infotainment system.
You can buy a pretty decent and suitable diagnostic device for the Freelander for about £120, which isn't far off what a garage will charge to run a diagnostic anyway.

Ok great, My friend has an old diagnostic devoce but didnt show anything, however it is an old one so perhaps doesnt show everything. I will check out some new ones, thank you!

A simple diagnostic device (normally OBD2) will only show engine issues.
For reading the various modules (there are about 30) in a Freelander 2, you need a dedicated LR code reader. Icarsoft make code reading devices for the Freelander 2 and other LRs. The LR V2 from Icarsoft works well for a basic reader, and costs about the same as a single read session at a garage.
