whats the advantage to this ?

will mounting them inside-out (backwards or whatever) be safe enough ?

and can i get advice on some sort of rubber for the, i was thinking the BFG's but will consider anything if they are going to be worth the money, the landy is mostly used on the beach but i want to get it off road and in the mud plus it'll need to be mot able

What is it used for on the beach? What sort of sand is on the beach? It could make a huge difference to the tyres you get.

that was merely a way of making the OP aware of the suspicious substance of which this thread has now resorted to. If i'd asked him what substance the beach was covered in he mighta been confused. It could have been high tide in which case 'the sea' would have been a plausible answer.

By using the word 'sand' I was thus accertaining that it was some sort of solid substance that would be metioned in the OP's reply which in return would give an answer that may or may not have been full of ****.

it's to pull a 5m rib in and out of the water. sand is used very hard and flat and the only thing that resembles a dune is about a feet and a half high....

but i'm asking about getting it off road in some mud so whatever tyre is going to my multi purpose.oh and what size ,265 ?

sorry if i'm asking for too much but at near £80-£100 for tyres i wantto know i'm getting the right ones first time.

If you fitted aggressive M/T tyres for offroading and then went to launch yer RIB on soft dry sand, there is a good chance of you digging yerself a big hole hence the question. You would have wanted A/T tyres for soft sand. Tis all a question of getting the balance right.

quick questions fella's , is this safe to do on a 90 with disco wheels

No I do believe because your wheel nuts centre your wheel believe it or not by using counter sunk holes in your rim and tapered nuts. Reversing the rims would leave you with no taper and thus no way of centreing your wheel. also I think its illegal to run like this. Like i said before that pic looks like the rims have been disasembled and the centre turned and re welded to give more offeset.

I think enormous wheels look ****e on a landy. I wouldn't swap my 205's for any kind of enormous cock extensions standing proud from the wheel arches!

fook off me wheel barrow has got 205s on it - 90s just look silly with them

well, I've got 205/80/r16s, and if I bought some new wheels/tyres, it'd be a set of them! i like series landys with enormous tyres even less than 90s too..
